Summary
This study aimed to understand why some patients on Reunion Island need to start dialysis as an emergency, rather than through planned care. Researchers looked at 233 adults who began dialysis treatment on the island, examining their medical and social situations. The goal was to gather better information about emergency dialysis starts to help improve future patient care.
