Blocking blood flow to ease stubborn pain

NCT ID NCT06523114

Summary

This study tested a procedure called transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) to see if it could safely reduce chronic elbow or foot pain. It involved 12 people whose pain had lasted over 6 months and did not improve with standard treatments like physical therapy or injections. Doctors performed the procedure to block small blood vessels in the painful area, then tracked pain levels for a full year to see if it helped.
