New hope for rheumatoid arthritis sufferers: ELV001 trial launches

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called ELV001 in people with active rheumatoid arthritis who haven't gotten enough relief from standard treatments like methotrexate or TNF inhibitors. About 180 adults aged 18 to 75 will receive either ELV001 or a placebo alongside their current medication. The main goal is to see if ELV001 reduces disease activity (joint swelling and pain) after 12 weeks, while also checking for side effects.
