New hope for kids with devastating seizure disorder
NCT ID NCT07019922
Summary
This study is testing whether a new drug called elsunersen can safely reduce seizures in young children with a rare and severe form of genetic epilepsy (SCN2A-DEE). It will involve about 50 children who started having seizures before 3 months old. Some children will receive the real drug, while others will get a sham (fake) procedure, and neither the families nor doctors will know which is which, to see if the drug truly works.
