First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tested a device called Ellipsys that creates a connection between an artery and a vein (AV fistula) in the arm to make dialysis easier. It involved 142 adults with end-stage kidney disease who needed dialysis. The main goals were to see how well the connection stayed open and working over 12 months, and to check for any serious side effects.
