Summary
This study looked at how the body and mood respond to maximum effort after a week of hard training in elite male and female rowers. Researchers measured stress hormones and brain chemicals in blood samples and used a mood questionnaire. The goal was to better understand physical and mental fatigue in athletes and see if men and women react differently.
