Zaps and sleeves ease Chemo's painful side effect
NCT ID NCT07409987
Summary
This study tested if two non-drug methods could help ease a common and painful side effect of chemotherapy called peripheral neuropathy. Researchers worked with 140 patients with gastrointestinal cancer who were receiving a specific chemotherapy drug known to cause nerve damage. They compared standard care against using electrical stimulation, compression sleeves, or both, to see if these methods reduced pain, numbness, and improved patients' quality of life.
