NCT ID NCT07095946
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study compares two ways of giving numbing medicine to children during dental procedures using an electronic syringe. Thirty kids aged 5-9 will receive anesthesia via either a ligament injection or a nerve block, and researchers will measure pain and satisfaction. The goal is to see if the electronic syringe makes dental treatment less scary and more comfortable for children.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
electronic syringe device
What this could lead to
If successful, this could make dental procedures more comfortable for children by reducing pain and anxiety during anesthesia.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 30 children, so results may not apply to all kids or dental situations. The electronic syringe may not work better than traditional methods.
