Zap your back pain? study tests electric acupuncture
NCT ID NCT06703671
Summary
This study is testing whether electroacupuncture, a modern form of acupuncture using mild electrical stimulation, is a safe and effective way to reduce pain and improve function for adults with chronic low back pain caused by worn spinal discs. Researchers will compare real electroacupuncture to a fake (sham) version in 240 participants to see which provides better relief over six months. The goal is to gather strong evidence for this non-drug, non-surgical treatment option.
