First seen Apr 15, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study tests whether electro-acupuncture can safely reduce belly pain and improve constipation in people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-C). About 60 patients will receive either real or sham (fake) acupuncture to see if the real treatment works better. Researchers will also collect blood, urine, and stool samples to explore how the treatment might affect gut bacteria.
