Zap your wrist, need less drugs for surgery?

NCT ID NCT06748898

Summary

This study tested if a gentle electrical stimulation device worn on the wrist could help patients need less strong pain medication during surgery. Researchers worked with 60 adults undergoing general anesthesia to see if the device made the body's stress response to the breathing tube smaller. They measured how much painkiller was needed, pain levels after surgery, and overall recovery quality.
