Zap to the rescue? electrical pulses tested to help stroke patients regain hand use

NCT ID NCT07456293

Summary

This study is testing whether a therapy called functional electrical stimulation (FES) can help improve hand movement and strength in people recovering from a recent stroke. It will involve 40 participants aged 40-60 who are in the subacute recovery phase. The main goal is to see if using FES alongside regular rehab leads to better hand function than rehab alone.
