Shocking bladder troubles: new study tests electrical therapy for urgency

Summary

This study tests whether electrical stimulation applied inside the vagina or on the perineum (the area between the vagina and anus) can help women with overactive bladder who haven't responded to medication. 63 women will be split into three groups: one gets internal stimulation, one gets external stimulation, and one gets bladder training only. The goal is to see which approach best reduces urine leaks and improves quality of life over 8 weeks.
