Zap to heal: could a jolt during surgery speed nerve recovery?
NCT ID NCT06867185
Summary
This study is testing whether a brief period of electrical stimulation applied directly to a cut nerve during surgical repair can help it heal faster and restore feeling better. It will involve 60 adults with a specific type of finger nerve injury requiring surgery. Researchers will compare recovery in people who receive the stimulation during their operation to those who do not.
