Zapping muscles back to work: new stimulation pattern tested

NCT ID NCT06421753

Summary

This small study tested if a new pattern of electrical muscle stimulation could help people with muscle weakness from conditions like stroke or spinal cord injury. Ten participants used a special exercise bike that delivers small electrical pulses to make their leg muscles contract. Researchers compared a new stimulation pattern to a standard one to see which produced more leg power during cycling.
