Zap your knee pain? study tests quick shock therapy after ACL surgery
NCT ID NCT06910150
Summary
This study is testing if a single session of electrical stimulation on the thigh muscle can help reduce pain and improve recovery for people who have recently had ACL knee surgery. 45 participants will receive standard physical therapy, and some will also get either a non-invasive or a slightly invasive form of electrical stimulation. Researchers will measure pain, strength, swelling, and quality of life to see if the electrical treatment provides any immediate or short-term benefits.
