Summary
This study aimed to see if electric or manual toothbrushes work better for keeping gums healthy and controlling harmful bacteria in children wearing dental space maintainers (a type of orthodontic appliance). Researchers followed 68 children, aged 6-12, for three months, measuring gum health and bacteria levels. The goal was to find the best tool to help prevent gum disease and cavities in kids with these appliances.
