First seen Jan 27, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study will follow 550 patients aged 75 and older who are hospitalized with acute coronary syndrome (heart attack or unstable chest pain). Researchers will assess frailty and other health factors to see if they can better predict complications and death than standard risk scores. The goal is to help doctors choose the best treatment—either a procedure to open blocked arteries or medication alone—for each older patient.
