Wearable pump could free hospital patients from IV poles
NCT ID NCT05150015
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This small study tested special wearable pumps that slowly deliver antibiotics through a drip, allowing patients to move around more freely. Nine adults in the hospital with bacterial infections took part to see if the pumps are safe, easy to use, and could save nursing time and money. The goal was to find out if a larger trial is worthwhile.
