Could earlier aspirin after stroke save more brain function?
NCT ID NCT07563673
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether giving a low-dose aspirin just 2 hours after clot-busting treatment for stroke is safer and more effective than waiting the usual 24 hours. About 210 adults aged 18-65 will be randomly assigned to one of two timing schedules. The goal is to see if earlier aspirin can prevent arteries from reclogging and improve recovery without raising the risk of bleeding in the brain.
