Computer alerts aim to stop dangerous drug mixes for seniors

NCT ID NCT03791580

Summary

This pilot study tested two types of pop-up alerts in doctors' electronic health record systems. The goal was to see if these alerts could help primary care doctors reduce potentially dangerous combinations of medications in patients aged 65 and older. The study aimed to prevent falls, kidney problems, and heart issues caused by risky drug interactions.
