New online resource aims to ease worry for heart device patients

Summary
This study is creating and testing an online resource called CHOICE-ICD for people who have an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), a device that shocks the heart if it beats dangerously. The tool includes games, videos, and virtual reality to help patients and their families understand the device and live better with it. About 64 patients will use the tool for 3 months, and researchers will check if it reduces anxiety and improves quality of life. The goal is to see if this approach is helpful and easy to use.
