First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tested whether nutrients in eggs, like omega-3s and lutein, can improve visual thinking and reaction time in healthy adults aged 50 to 75. Over 100 participants ate different amounts of whole eggs, egg whites, or egg yolks for two weeks, then completed a series of 3D computer-based cognitive tests. The goal was to see if egg consumption, especially omega-3 fortified eggs, leads to faster and more accurate mental performance.
