First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tested whether nutrients in eggs, like omega-3s, can improve visual thinking speed in healthy adults aged 50 to 75. Over 100 participants were randomly assigned to eat different amounts of whole eggs, egg whites, or no eggs for two weeks. Their cognitive performance was measured using a 3D tracking game, and blood samples were taken to check nutrient levels. The goal was to see if egg nutrients could sharpen the mind.
