New pill aims to halt leading cause of blindness in seniors
NCT ID NCT05170048
Summary
This study is testing if a daily oral medication called EG-301, when added to standard eye health supplements, can slow the progression of vision loss in people with a specific form of dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). It will involve 90 participants, aged 50-75, who have experienced recent vision decline. Researchers will compare the group taking EG-301 plus supplements to a group taking supplements alone to see which better preserves vision and eye health over at least six months.
