Tapping away surgery fears: can a simple technique improve recovery?
NCT ID NCT06780371
Summary
This study tested whether a mind-body technique called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) could help people after obesity surgery. Researchers wanted to see if EFT could reduce patients' fear of moving (which can slow recovery) and lower their risk of developing painful pressure sores. The trial involved 148 adults who had the surgery, with some receiving EFT training and others not.
