Can tapping ease the fear and pain of a common Women's health procedure?
NCT ID NCT07348068
Summary
This study tested whether the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a mind-body practice involving tapping on specific points, could help postmenopausal women feel less pain and anxiety during a uterine biopsy (probe curettage). Researchers worked with 132 women to see if using EFT right before the procedure made a difference in their pain levels, anxiety, and vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure. The goal was to find a simple, non-drug method to improve comfort during this common diagnostic test.
