New drug trial aims to tame sudden nerve attack

Summary

This study is testing if a drug called efgartigimod is safe and can help people with Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS), a serious condition where the immune system attacks the nerves. It will involve about 30 adults who recently developed GBS weakness. Researchers will compare patient recovery and side effects to see if the drug helps control the disease.
