Healthy volunteers to test if statins tweak blood pressure and heart rhythm

NCT ID NCT07389304

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-stage study will give 100 healthy adults one of three statins (atorvastatin, rosuvastatin, or simvastatin) at low, medium, or high doses for just two days. Researchers will measure changes in blood pressure and heart electrical activity (ECG) to see if these drugs have short-term effects on the heart. The goal is purely to gather knowledge, not to treat any condition.
