First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a breathing technique used during laparoscopic hysterectomy changes pressure inside the skull. Researchers will measure this by using ultrasound to check the thickness of the optic nerve sheath, a noninvasive way to estimate brain pressure. The study involves 60 women aged 18-65 having planned keyhole hysterectomy under general anesthesia.
