Calm before the storm: simple talk could ease surgery fears
NCT ID NCT07348497
Summary
This study is testing if a short, structured education session before surgery can help reduce patient anxiety and prevent agitation when waking up from anesthesia. 80 adults having elective surgery will be randomly assigned to receive either this special education or standard hospital information. The goal is to see if better preparation leads to a calmer, safer recovery for patients.
