Can a simple chat before surgery speed your recovery?

NCT ID NCT06419088

Summary

This study tested whether giving patients personalized education before minimally invasive lung surgery helps reduce their anxiety and improves recovery. Researchers compared 156 patients who received either tailored education about the procedure and recovery or standard hospital information. They measured anxiety, pain, sleep, and quality of life before and after surgery to see if the extra education made a difference.
