Summary

This study observed how well the blood-thinning medication edoxaban worked and how safe it was for preventing strokes in Korean patients aged 80 and older who had atrial fibrillation. Doctors followed over 1,200 patients for up to a year after they were prescribed the drug as part of their normal care. The goal was to gather real-world information on outcomes like stroke, bleeding events, and death in this older, higher-risk population.
