Summary
This study develops and tests a care package to prevent skin complications and swelling in patients who are physically restrained in the intensive care unit. The package includes several evidence-based steps applied together. The goal is to see if this approach reduces problems like redness, bruising, and swelling in the restrained area. The study will involve 76 adults who are about to be restrained.
