First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether using a compression device and doing leg exercises can help reduce swelling (edema) and improve vital signs in adults staying in intensive care units. About 118 participants will be assigned to one of three groups: compression only, exercises only, or both. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to manage fluid buildup and support heart and lung stability in critically ill patients.
