Summary
This study tested a sonic device called EDDY that cleans root canals during treatment. Forty adults with infected teeth but no pain were split into two groups: one got standard cleaning, the other got EDDY sonic cleaning. The EDDY device killed more bacteria, but it did not reduce pain after the procedure compared to standard cleaning.
