Summary
This study tested a sonic device called EDDY to see if it cleans root canals better and reduces pain after treatment. Forty adults with infected teeth but no symptoms were split into two groups: one got standard cleaning, the other got EDDY sonic cleaning. The EDDY group had fewer bacteria left in the tooth, but both groups reported similar pain levels afterward.
