Scientists probe hidden pathway behind eczema itch
NCT ID NCT04133506
Summary
This study aimed to understand how a specific molecule called PGE2 might drive inflammation in eczema. Researchers analyzed skin and blood samples from 38 people with eczema, psoriasis, and healthy volunteers to see if blocking this pathway could be a future treatment strategy. The goal was to gather knowledge to help develop more targeted therapies, not to test a new treatment directly.
