NCT ID NCT06703333

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a treatment called extracorporeal photopheresis (ECP) is safe for people with stiff person syndrome, a rare condition that causes severe muscle stiffness and spasms. ECP involves filtering a person's blood, treating it with light, and returning it to the body. Only 3 adults with the condition will take part to see if they can tolerate the procedure and if it reduces their symptoms.
