Massive study to reveal if genetic testing saves money or just adds costs
NCT ID NCT05045222
First seen Nov 13, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study will follow 100,000 adults who have already received genetic testing through the Tapestry program at Mayo Clinic. Researchers want to see if knowing your genetic results changes how often you visit the doctor, stay in the hospital, or go to the ER, and whether it affects your quality of life or healthcare costs. No new treatments or tests are given—this is purely observational.
