Simple heart test could forecast survival in devastating brain bleeds

NCT ID NCT07196891

Summary

This study looked at whether a measurement from a standard heart test (ECG) could help predict a patient's chances of survival and recovery after a severe brain bleed caused by a burst aneurysm. Researchers analyzed data from 354 adult patients to see if a specific angle on the ECG was linked to who survived after 28 days and how well they recovered neurologically. The goal was to find a simple, early clue to help doctors understand which patients are at highest risk.
