Gentler workout tested to help people with lung disease breathe easier
NCT ID NCT06869720
Summary
This study aimed to see if a specific type of exercise on an elliptical machine could help people with COPD. It planned to test if this 'eccentric' exercise, which is easier on the heart and lungs, could improve how far patients can walk and their overall quality of life. The trial was designed for 60 participants but was withdrawn before anyone enrolled.
