Scientists test ebola vaccine in vulnerable HIV population
NCT ID NCT03031912
Summary
This study tested an experimental Ebola vaccine in people living with HIV to see if it was safe and if their immune systems responded well. About 250 adults and teenagers with HIV received either the vaccine or a placebo shot. Researchers carefully monitored participants for a year to check for side effects and measure their antibody levels against the Ebola virus.
