New therapy challenge for teen eating disorders

NCT ID NCT06256380

Summary

This study aims to find out if a newer type of talk therapy (Enhanced Cognitive Behavior Therapy) works as well as the current standard family-based treatment for teenagers with eating disorders. Researchers will compare these two approaches in about 200 teens aged 12-18 who are receiving outpatient care in Norway. The main goal is to see which therapy better improves eating disorder thoughts and behaviors by the end of treatment.
