First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tests a new approach to blood thinners for people who have had a heart attack. The goal is to see if using a lower dose of the drug ticagrelor and stopping aspirin early can reduce the risk of dangerous bleeding while still preventing another heart attack or stroke. About 2,300 adults who had a heart attack and received a stent will be randomly assigned to either the new or standard treatment plan.
