New guide aims to end the 'Poke Hunt' for Kids' veins
NCT ID NCT07333846
Summary
This study is testing a simple visual guide to help parents and medical staff find a specific vein on a child's forearm before surgery. The goal is to place a numbing cream patch in the right spot, which could make it easier to insert an IV line later. Researchers will use ultrasound to check if the guide accurately points to the vein in children under 6.
