New tech aims to end the 'Needle stick Nightmare' for tough veins
NCT ID NCT06838364
Summary
This study aims to find the best method for inserting an IV line on the first try in adults who have difficult veins to access. Researchers will compare the standard method of looking and feeling for a vein to two newer techniques: using an ultrasound machine to see the vein or using an infrared light to make veins glow under the skin. The goal is to reduce pain, anxiety, and the need for multiple needle sticks.
