Feeding time test aims to get tiny babies home sooner
NCT ID NCT07229885
Summary
This study looked at whether starting small 'trophic' feeds early or late is better for very small premature babies. It compared two groups of 60 babies to see which feeding approach led to shorter hospital stays and fewer cases of a serious gut infection called necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). The goal was to find a safer feeding method to help these vulnerable newborns grow and go home faster.
