Race to recovery: should you move your shoulder sooner after surgery?
NCT ID NCT07324174
Summary
This study aims to find out if starting gentle, supervised shoulder movements the day after rotator cuff repair surgery leads to better recovery than keeping the arm completely immobilized in a sling for six weeks. It will involve 86 adults who have had this common shoulder surgery. Researchers will compare pain levels, shoulder movement, strength, and overall function between the two groups over a full year to determine the safest and most effective rehab approach.
