Breakthrough trial aims to stop arthritis in its tracks, free patients from lifelong drugs
NCT ID NCT04435288
Summary
This study is testing if starting powerful biologic drugs immediately after a spondyloarthritis diagnosis is better than the standard slower approach. It aims to see if this early, intensive treatment can put the disease into long-term remission, allowing patients to stop all medication. The trial involves 90 adults with recent symptoms and compares two treatment strategies over 48 weeks.
